AIPAC is a registered domestic lobby whose principal mission is to work with Congress on legislation that strengthens the relationship between the United States and Israel.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Oversees all aspects of the administration, care, and upkeep of the building including:
    • Primary liaison with property Management Company for headquarters building. (Property management firm will be responsible for all building engineering, HVAC, elevators, trash collection and recycling, window washing, carpet cleaning, daily maintenance, snow removal, plants, etc.)
      • Point of contact for all maintenance, operations, housekeeping and grounds
      • Review and approve building related service agreements and contracts
    • Supervises mailroom staff and telephone operator
    • Establishes and implements building operations policies and procedures
    • Coordinates placement and movement of personnel
    • Oversees Parking management
    • Communication with staff on building-related matters
    • Management of the fitness center and staff lounge
    • Management of the building operating and capital budgets
    • Review all building expenditures including materials and supplies
  • Business Operations
    • Oversees business related functions for the organization in Washington and the Regions including:
      • Equipment acquisition and maintenance programs (photocopiers, postage machines, fax machines, water filters, fitness equipment, ice machines, kitchen equipment, etc.)
      • Furniture acquisition and repair
    • Works closely with Director of Operations and Chief Financial Officer on organizational insurance matters
    • Manages organizational travel and serves as a liaison with travel agency
  • Regional Office Space Management:
    • Working closely with Regional Director, oversees the administration of regional office space, including:
      • Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer on the follow-up and implementation of lease negotiations
      • Establish and maintain design and furnishing standards for the regional offices
      • Review any regional renovation or build-out plans
      • Assist in the coordination of office moves
  • Conference Center Operations:
    • Works in coordination with the Department of National Events in conference center operations
  • Security: (If experience warrants)
    • Works closely with the Director of Operations on the security of the building and regional offices
    • Liaison with security company
    • Establish security protocols and procedures
Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience required in the area of business administration
  • A minimum of 8 years administrative and managerial experience in a senior position with demonstrated ability/knowledge to successfully oversee all areas of responsibility
  • Expertise and aptitude for administration, management, business operations and general services. Ideal candidate will also have thorough understanding of security matters
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and/or projections
  • Experience in contract negotiation and management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to be on call to coordinate building emergencies on a 24 hour basis
